The Poros Hotel hosted this wedding, held upon the 17th July 2007. A civil ceremony took place on Daskalio Island outside the tiny church there, then the wedding party returned for a wedding reception on the roof terrace of the Saga Hotel. Nick and Marianne have a total of five daughters between them from previous marriages. All told, it was a highly successful event, run by Zefi for the couple. Here is a selection of pictures to whet your appetite. The writer has to admit that the entire guest list was highly photogenic - a compliment to the families, the sun and the natural Greek talent for making a party hum. The roof terrace swathes were the same colour as the bride's dress. One of the roof pillars was left swathed and the writer took a picture during his September 2007 visit.

The wedding favours were menus and specially-labelled bottles of the Alexopoulos family wine, from their vineyards at Trizina on the mainland. All seemed very popular, the wine in particular going down well and a good spirit of kefi emerged. Zefi has further weddings being booked and this aspect of the Saga Hotel seems to be thriving.
