Dalrymple, Winifred : Worked in the Stores at Edingham (Unit 2). Travelled by bike from home in Cumstoun Gardens, Twynholm, to Tarff Station, travelling to Southwick Halt. Notified by daughter Mary Nelson.

Davidson, Jessie (married : Grey) : Blending and Packing worker. Notified by Jean Burnie. Moved to Durham after she married.

Dawson, Mr. : Factory under-manager. Known and respected by Jean Burnie.

Dennington, Violet Rose : Worked at the Factory 'with Cordite'. Sister was Lillian McPherson. Notified by son John Dennington.

Docherty, John : Worked in Southwick (Unit 1). Notified by Elizabeth Robertson.

Douglas, Janet (married : Wagstaff) : Worked in Edingham (Unit 2) in Blending, 'a long walk' from Southwick station. Married husband in 1942 - Foreman Mrs. Sayce was bridesmaid. Notified by herself.

Dunlop, Margaret, Mrs. (married : Mouat): Chargehand in wet mix and desentising/weighing in House C in NG Hill at Southwick. Worked in Southwick.

Dunn, Lillian : Junior wages clerk at Factory offices. Notified by friend Elizabeth Lunnie.
