Dumfries and Galloway Region is gifted with well over thirty golf courses
of varying kinds. All the courses have different settings; some are links
courses, others on hill slopes inland, with a choice of 9 or 18 holes
and a variety of challenges. The golfing pilgrim staying in Dumfries and
Galloway is barely seventy miles from the Ayrshire coast, with the famous
links at Troon, Ayr and Turnberry.
This list has been provided as a courtesy to the visitor and as an
advantage for the courses. Suggestions for illustrations, improvements and
reviews will be gratefully received. Dalbeattie Internet will be happy to
prepare more extensive entries for those clubs wishing to buy in a page or

constructed. Whilst every effort is made to provide accurate information,
you are advised to telephone the Course you mean to visit before going.
Terminology : 'SSS' is Standard Scratch figure for 18
holes or equivalent; courses' severity is otherwise given as a 'Par' number.
Gateway to Golf passes may be used at courses indicated here

'Gateway to Golf' Passes :
This scheme has two kinds of Pass, entitling the bearer to play up to 36
holes per course on up to 10 of the 25 participating courses within a 3 or
5 weekday period in the same week. Full details from
