Welcome to Claremont Cottage ...Claremont Cottage is situated in a peaceful rural setting in a designated "Outstanding Conservation Area" on the edge of the town of Moffat. It overlooks the surrounding hills, yet is only a few minutes' walk from the attractive town centre. The accommodation is located to the rear of the owner's semi-detached Victorian Villa which is officially 'Listed' as being of architectural interest, dating from around 1875. | ||||||||||||||
Our Accommodation ...The accommodation comprises of one double bedroom with an ensuite shower room, lounge and open plan kitchen which is fully equipped with a microwave, hob and oven, and a washing machine. The lounge has TV, DVD recorder and a bed settee. The Cottage is compact and comfortable with access to the garden with patio area; there is also a garden to the front of the house. There are a few steps to negotiate so it is unsuitable for people with mobility difficulties.
| Local Attractions ...Moffat is ideally situated for exploring Dumfries and Galloway and has something to offer everyone; cycling, walking, golfing, fishing or just somewhere to relax and unwind. Station Park has a variety of facilities; swings and slides, a boating pond, putting green and water feature for small children, "Moffatasia". It also has a range of interesting shops and great selection of hotels and restaurants serving excellent food.
| Directions ...Moffat is about 43 miles north of Carlisle on the M6/M74. Take Junction 15, the exit for Beattock, Moffat and Selkirk. On entering the town, turn right beside the War Memorial and down beside the Clock Tower into Well Street. At the far end of Well Street go straight across into Old Well Road.
